Let’s be honest, there are hundreds of lofi hip-hop and chillhop Spotify playlists themed around almost every aspect of your every day life, whether it’s sleepy lofi, chillhop for study, upbeat jazzhop, and more. You can easily get lost in a sea of sleapy study-focused lofi playlists so I thought I’d make things a little easyer and highlight some of my top lofi hip-hop & chillhop playlists for whatever you’re into.
Monday Mornings Chillhop
What better way to kick-start your week than with a healthy dose of Chillhop? This playlist is meticulously curated by our friends over at Tsunami Sounds and is definitely one of my favourites.
quiet lofi // sleepy lofi beats
Of all the playlists for sleeping or chilling out as you drift off, this one has to be my favourite. So just kick back and let the soulful sounds of sleepy lofi put you to sleep.
60 Minute Lofi
Of course, I’ve got to plug my own playlist. While others are focused on activities, I thought I’d try and be a little different and release a playlist themed around time. This is perfect for when you want to time something like workouts, yoga, meditation, study, or cooking.
Chill Beats | lofi hip hop, chillhop & jazzhop
Stereofox curates some of my favourite playlists, Chill Beats is just one of them, but I’m a huge fan of their Groovy Beats playlist too. If you’re looking for more high-calibre chillhop, then this playlist is for you.
LOFI AND CHILL
I can’t really talk about lofi without including one of the biggest supporters of the genre, Lofi Vibe. If you’re looking for some really eclectic independent lofi, this playlist is for you as it’s curated with the community in mind.
Lofi Jazz Hop
Another big supporter is the label Chill Select who, admittedly, have a bunch of playlists for almost every mood, but Lofi Jazz Hop is one of the more standout playlists here – especially if you’re a fan of Chill Select releases!
Lofi Sleep Sounds
While most of the above playlists have been tied to labels or big players within the community, Lofi Sleep Sounds is a playlist that I’ve always enjoyed when trying to wind down and it’s curated by someone who just enjoys the music rather than creates it. It’s definitely one to check out.
Lazy Lush Lofi
Admittedly I love this one because it has lazy in the title… But other than that, it’s a really great mix of independent producers and beatmakers and is updated regularly with even more music to grace your ears.
Sad & Sleepy Beats
thebootlegboy has always been at the top of my list of playlist I’d love to get on, the reason for this isn’t necessarily that it’s a massive playlist, but its curator tends to swing towards more unique tracks within the genre. While it’s good for chilling out, the playlist below is always full of surprising talent.
Of all of the Spotify Editorial playlists, Lush Lofi has always been one that’s caught my attention more than Lo-Fi Beats or Jazz Vibes. It features some great instrumentals and swings slightly more outside of the box when it comes to lofi as a genre – at least in my opinion.
I’d definitely love to know what your thoughts are on any of the above playlists, or if you have any suggestions of lofi hip-hop or chillhop Spotify playlists that should make the cut as I’ll be regularly updating this list!
